Bitcoin Spot ETFs Experience Significant Inflows Amid Outflows in Ethereum and Solana Funds

On October 19, 2026, U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded net inflows of $526.6 million, marking the largest single-day increase since September 22. This surge was primarily driven by BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, which alone attracted $665.2 million, making it the only Bitcoin ETF to report positive flows on that day. In contrast, Ethereum and Solana spot ETFs faced significant outflows, with Ethereum products losing $103.3 million and Solana funds also experiencing net withdrawals.

The inflows into Bitcoin ETFs helped reduce the overall monthly deficit for October to approximately $90 million, following a series of outflows earlier in the month. As of October 19, the total net assets held by all spot Bitcoin ETFs reached $105.46 billion, representing about 6.4% of Bitcoin's total market capitalization. BlackRock's dominance in this space is underscored by the fact that its Bitcoin fund absorbed the entirety of the net inflow while competitors like Fidelity's FBTC and Grayscale's GBTC saw outflows of $83.6 million and $54.9 million, respectively.

The trend of outflows was particularly pronounced for Ethereum, where BlackRock's ETHA accounted for $95.4 million of the total redemptions. This pattern of withdrawals has persisted for several days, raising questions about the future performance of Ethereum ETFs. As the cryptocurrency market continues to evolve, investors are advised to monitor the ongoing dynamics between Bitcoin and Ethereum funds, particularly in terms of inflow and outflow trends.
