Security Firm SlowMist Identifies Vulnerability in Qubic Wallet Keys
SlowMist, a cybersecurity firm, has reported that the keys for Qubic Wallet could potentially be recovered from six network samples. This revelation raises concerns about the security of the wallet, which is used for managing digital assets.
The recent 4.26.4 patch implemented by Qubic aims to enhance security by separating new account seeds from the exposed random stream. However, the patch does not address the unchanged header generation, which may still leave the wallet vulnerable to attacks.
The findings by SlowMist highlight the ongoing challenges in securing cryptocurrency wallets and the importance of continuous updates and patches to protect user assets from potential breaches.
