Musk: The Only Way to Solve the U.S. Debt Problem Is to Rely on AI and Robots

PANews, October 17 — According to AXIOS, Musk said that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) reform experiment he once led ultimately came to nothing, proving that "we simply cannot solve the fiscal deficit problem from within the government." Musk said: "The only way to solve the U.S. national debt problem is to rely on artificial intelligence and robots." He added: "We cannot solve this problem by tightening our belts." Musk's remarks effectively acknowledged that the DOGE reform failed to achieve the expected results, while also pointing out that a future administration might rely on increasingly capable artificial intelligence to try to solve this problem again. Musk said that neither the president, the House of Representatives, the Senate, nor the judiciary has any willingness to cut spending. Musk admitted that he was "somewhat over the top" and ended up being away from his companies for too long. He said: "I should have stayed more in the background... and this thing probably only needed to last a month or two, rather than formally serving in the White House for four months as actually happened. I should have gone back earlier and refocused my energy on artificial intelligence."
