Three UK men sentenced for home invasion robbery targeting cryptocurrency
PANews reported on October 17 that, according to Avon and Somerset Police in the UK, three men were each sentenced to at least five years in prison at Bristol Crown Court on October 15 for breaking into a residence in Bristol in an attempt to rob cryptocurrency. Terroll Paul (31), Mohamed Samagassi (37) and Pierre Madzou (30) forced their way into the victim's home in the early hours of May 15, assaulted him and demanded he hand over a large amount of digital currency. The victim was struck on the head and hospitalized. The three were arrested at the scene after the victim's underage sister called police. All three pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary; Paul was sentenced to six years, Madzou to five and a half years, and Samagassi to five years.
