OKX responds to re-verification reminder: routine KYC update, not a sign of account abnormality

PANews, October 16 — OKX founder Star posted that OKX periodically verifies and updates user identity information based on the specific circumstances of each account. Users may need to complete identity verification again when their account has been open for 1, 3, or 5 years, or when their ID documents expire. Star stated that this is a routine practice for global financial institutions to fulfill their KYC (Know Your Customer) obligations and does not mean there is anything abnormal with the account; users simply need to update their information truthfully according to the official prompts.

Previously, some users registered in mainland China said on X that they received an OKX re-verification reminder, questioned whether it was related to tax requirements, and reported that their accounts could not be closed.
