Ledger Introduces Wrapped-Bitcoin Loans via Morpho Platform

Ledger, a prominent cryptocurrency wallet provider, has launched a new service allowing users to take out loans backed by wrapped Bitcoin through the Morpho platform. This initiative aims to enhance liquidity options for cryptocurrency holders while leveraging the growing interest in decentralized finance (DeFi).

The loan service defaults to a 50% loan-to-value ratio, meaning users can borrow up to half the value of their pledged wrapped Bitcoin. Additionally, a borrowing fee of 1% will be applied to the loans. Users should be aware that their collateral remains at risk of liquidation if the value of the pledged assets declines significantly.

This development reflects Ledger's commitment to expanding its offerings in the DeFi space, providing users with more flexible financial tools to manage their cryptocurrency assets. The integration with Morpho is expected to attract both new and existing users looking for innovative ways to utilize their digital assets.
