Robinhood Chain Expands Cross-Chain Swaps with NEAR Intents Integration
Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum layer-2 network built on the Arbitrum Orbit stack, has enhanced its functionality by integrating with NEAR Intents, allowing users to swap Ethereum-native tokens and the USDG stablecoin across more than 180 assets and over 30 chains. This upgrade, implemented on September 18, 2026, utilizes the 1Click Swap API to facilitate intent-based cross-chain swaps, enabling users to specify desired outcomes without the need for manual transaction management.
Since its mainnet launch on July 1, 2026, Robinhood Chain has focused on tokenized real-world assets and decentralized finance services, rather than introducing a native token. The network has seen significant activity, with daily decentralized exchange volumes exceeding $1 billion and total value locked approaching $1 billion. The integration with NEAR Intents is expected to further increase asset mobility and trading options for users within the ecosystem.
The growth of Robinhood Chain aligns with the company's broader strategy to merge traditional finance with blockchain technology, a vision first announced in 2025. With the recent enhancements, users can now access a wider array of assets seamlessly, which may influence investor perceptions of Robinhood Markets (HOOD) equity, the primary public market representation of the chain's success.
