Revolut Faces Allegations of User Data Leak Due to Fraudulent Requests

ZachXBT, an on-chain detective, has raised concerns regarding a potential data leak involving Revolut, a financial technology company based in the United Kingdom. The allegations suggest that Revolut failed to recognize a fraudulent request, leading to the exposure of personal identification information (PII) of some users. This leaked data reportedly includes sensitive documents such as copies of passports and driver's licenses, verification selfies, account statements, and transaction histories, including Bitcoin transactions.

The leaked information also encompasses names, birth dates, occupations, home addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers. While ZachXBT indicated that the number of affected users might be limited, the breach appears to specifically target high-net-worth individuals. Following the incident, several Revolut users received security alert emails, raising further concerns about the security measures in place to protect user data.

Revolut has not yet publicly addressed these allegations or provided details on the steps being taken to investigate the matter. As the situation develops, users are advised to remain vigilant regarding their personal information and monitor their accounts for any suspicious activity.
